Big Works · Infrastructures IPM GeoDrena
Included by UNESCO among the World Heritage Sites, the Colosseo is one of the most important monuments in the world.
Universally recognized as symbol of the city of Rome and of Italian Culture in general, it has always been subject to a delicate restoration work to which IPM Italia participated. In the year 2000 IPM intervened on the flooring to make it impermeable and, after 15 years, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Infrastructure entrusted it once again with the important work of restoration of the flooring located in the centre of the historic structure.
IPM GeoDrena®, eco-friendly system, breathable and with visible natural inerts, proved to be the best solution right from the beginning. Thanks to an elastomeric membrane positioned between the foundation and the coating, allowing the discharge of water into the appropriate collection system, it assures excellent performance in terms of impermeability.
Quick and not at all invasive, the operation of installation lasted only one week for a covered surface of 740 square metres.
During the week of works, our team of certified installers worked in an accurate and discreet way, without interfering with enjoyment and access activities to the magnificent work of art.
Thanks to the respect of delivery time, it was possible to inaugurate the walkway in the established date in the presence of the high offices of state.
